We’re seeking volunteers to join our annual grant review committee. In 2018, we awarded a total of $47,534 to 13 small American farms. These grants gave farmers the opportunity to tackle sustainability projects, including water management, pollinator support, soil health, and climate change mitigation. Supporting projects like these helps the environment, farmers, and local communities.
Our Annual Grant Review Committee
We need volunteers to donate 8–10 hours as part of the farm grant application review process in spring 2019. Most, if not all, participation is virtual and conducted via conference calls. Volunteers help by:
- Reviewing project proposals
- Scoring them according to our criteria
- Collaborating with other review committee members
- Finalizing the award recommendations sent to our Advisory Board for approval
