Namuna Farm

Namuna Farm in Kent, Washington, operated by the Biswa family through the IRC’s New Roots program, received a $5,000 grant to install a new drip irrigation system. The new system is up and running. This upgrade replaces half of the farm’s sprinkler system, improving water efficiency, reducing labor and fuel needs, and supporting healthier plants. The system has contributed to higher yields, improved produce quality, and fewer pest and disease issues, directly benefiting approximately 700 community members who rely on the farm’s culturally significant crops.
