Our volunteer review committee has been hard at work. This year, we’ve selected 26 finalists from over 300 applications.

This portfolio of finalists is based on a number of different criteria, including:

  • Ownership diversity
  • Years in operation
  • Farm size and setting
  • Community impact
  • Type of farming
  • Project budget and focus areas

Consider Donating to Help Fund More Farm Finalists in 2024

Our review committee will have to make some tough calls this year. All of the finalists have worthy projects but we only have enough funding to cover a select few. Luckily, one of our generous donors has pledged to match up to $8,000 in donations. That means this is a great time to make a tax-deductible donation to the Community Fund. If you give $100, our donor will match it, doubling your impact to $200!

The full amount of your  donation will go toward funding more sustainability projects for small farms.

Speaking of small farms, we’re pleased to announce that the following farms and agricultural nonprofits have been asked to complete the finalist application process in hopes of becoming 2024 grantees.

2024 Grant Timeline

We will notify our 2024 Grant recipients in early April and issue their award checks in early May.

Grantees will then implement their projects over the remainder of 2024 and successfully complete them by December.

Thank you to all the worthy farm applicants who submitted applications this year. We know your time is precious, and we thank you for your efforts. Also, a huge thank you to the members of our grant review committee. Last but certainly not least, thank you to the generous supporters who helped us to grow this year’s grant cycle capacity by supporting our Small Farms, Big Impacts 2024 campaign. We couldn’t have done it without you!
