In 2021, Winter Storm Uri damaged 14,000 of its olive trees. Lone Star has been hard at work since, planting new olive saplings and diversifying its farm with the addition of new crops.Β πŸ’ͺ🌾 With a $4,751 grant, they will expand their sustainable farming practices by planting heirloom varieties of fruit trees and plants, and adding two beehives. 🍊🐝 Learn more at the link in our bio!

The funds will be used to purchase 51 native trees, 200 native shrubs, 100 native perennials, and five pounds of wildflower seed mix from their local native plant nursery. 🌱🌸
