A Weekend in The Capay Valley

At The FruitGuys Community Fund, we like to support local sustainable farming events. That’s why The FruitGuys is sponsoring Full Belly Farm Hoes Down Harvest Festival in Capay Valley. This annual festival is a way to celebrate the harvest season and rural life on a beautiful organic family farm.

Have Fun & Support a Good Cause

The Hoes Down Harvest Festival is dedicated to honoring and promoting the knowledge of agricultural arts and sustainable rural living through inspiration and education. Join us for their  30th annual celebration! Mark your calendar for the 7th and 8th of October at Full Belly Farm in Yolo County, California.

Tickets are only $25 ($30 at the gate) and not one penny stays at Full Belly Farm. Every cent earned during the festival is donated back to community organizations. Check out the recipients of last year’s festival.

Visit for the Day or Camp Overnight

Full Belly Farm is located at 16090 County Road 43, Guinda, CA 95637. The main festival starts at 11:00am on Saturday and is full of fun events. From live music to agricultural workshops or a farmers market, there is something for everyone. There is even a children’s area to keep the little ones entertained. Full Belly also has camping facilities if you want to stay overnight (highly recommended for the full farm experience;).

Sunday is a more regimented day with seminars and workshops on a variety of different topics. Some sessions span a half day, with others only are only a couple of hours. If you don’t fancy any of the workshops, you can kick your day off with early morning yoga and then enjoy the open farm. On Monday, attendees are invited to help transform the area back to a working farm.

Stop By Our Harvest Booth

The Harvest Festival’s goal is in perfect alignment with The FruitGuys Community Fund’s mission of supporting small, independent farmers and promote ecologically innovative practices. The festival generates valuable resources for local and statewide organizations; funds benefit sustainable agriculture and rural communities. That’s why we’re proud to be a Community Grower sponsor.

Stop by our booth and say hi. Enjoy the hoe-down fun with a local farming community and join in on the harvest festivities. We hope to see you there this weekend!
