Since 1981 from the Ecological Farm Association
EcoFarm, hosted by the Ecological Farm Association, has been running since 1981. The conference provides an opportunity to share advice and guidance on the continued development of an ecologically sustainable food and farming systems. In the past 36 years, they have reached over 60,000 people, increasing public awareness of where our food comes and emphasizing ethically-sourced produce. EcoFarm has grown a lot since their first event back in 1981 when 45 people attended. Now it’s grown to nearly 2,000 attendees.
Nurturing Healthy & Sustainable Farms
As well as hosting EcoFarm, the Ecological Farm Association is dedicated to nurturing healthy, just, and ecologically sustainable farms, food systems, and communities. The conference brings like-minded people together for education, alliance building, advocacy, and celebration. EcoFarm is just one of the ways they do this. Some of their efforts also go into helping farmers cooperatives by providing advice, like the FruitGuys grantee program.
EcoFarm’s 70 Workshops
This year the EcoFarm conference schedule is busier than ever with over 70 workshops on topics as wide ranging as Keeping GMOs out of Organic Food to driving the organic movement forward by Cultivating Organic Leaders. In addition to workshops, there will also be a number of guest speakers and special events, as well as a number of businesses exhibiting and displaying their products or services.
